UN warning against the spread of ISIS threats – Mehr news agency RCO News Agency

According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Maa, Alexander Zoyo, one of the officials of the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Office, emphasized in his speech at the Security Council: ISIS and its branches are expanding their presence in West Africa and the Sahel region.

He added: ISIS elements continue their attacks in Iraq and Syria at the same time.

Zoyo stated: In Afghanistan, we are still witnessing the activities of the Khorasan Province organization, which constitutes one of the most dangerous threats against the region and beyond.

The executive head of the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Committee also pointed to the modernization of ISIS terrorist organizations’ methods and said: These groups use virtual assets and cryptocurrencies along with artificial intelligence.
