According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Al Jazeera, US President Donald Trump claimed during his speech at the cabinet meeting of this country: I personally asked Putin to stop the bombing of Kiev and other Ukrainian cities for at least a week.

Trump added: “Putin agreed to stop the bombing of Kiev and other Ukrainian cities, and this was a great move.”

He stated: I am still confident that the conflict in Ukraine can be resolved. Vitkov and Kushner are working hard to end the conflict in Ukraine.

US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff has also said that progress has been made in the ceasefire negotiations in Ukraine.

These claims come while the Ukrainian media announced that a series of explosions rocked the city of Kherson in eastern Ukraine.
