According to Mehr news agency, a security source in a conversation with Al-Malouma emphasized that the American military withdrew its forces from the Al-Tanf base in Syria last day as part of a secret plan.

He added: They are looking for the complete evacuation of this base, and this action will take place after a few days of the evacuation of the Ain al-Asad base in western Anbar, Iraq.

This source stated: The American military has agreed to reopen the al-Walid border crossing on the common border between Iraq and Syria after 10 years, simultaneously with the evacuation of Al-Tanf base, which is located near this border crossing.

He stated: The American military has begun the process of secretly evacuating the al-Tanf base, and more details about the reason for this sudden action have not been published. They had closed the al-Walid crossing after the construction of Al-Tanf base 10 years ago.
