Zelensky’s reaction to Trump’s words about the Ukrainian presidential election

According to Isna, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy expressed his readiness to hold presidential elections in this country on Tuesday.

During his visit to Italy, Zelensky said in response to US President Donald Trump’s comments about holding presidential elections in Ukraine: “I am ready at any time.”

In an interview with “Politico” magazine, Trump answered, “Is it time for elections in Ukraine?” He said: “Yes, I think so.” A lot of time has passed. I think the time has come. Now is an important time to hold elections. They are using war to prevent elections. I think the people of Ukraine should have this right.”

He added: “Maybe Zelensky himself will win.” I don’t know who might win but they haven’t held an election in a long time. “They talk about democracy, but it is reaching a point where it can no longer be called democracy.”
