The poll also shows that Trump’s performance approval rating is near its lowest level since the attack on the Capitol in January 2021; When only 34% of the participants approved of his performance.
According to CNN, Trump’s popularity decline is evident among various social groups, especially the youth, the elderly, people of color, and low-income groups. Among Americans aged 18 to 34, his approval rating has dropped 12 percent to 29 percent since February. In the age group of 35 to 49 years, this rate has reached 35% with a drop of 14 points, and it has decreased to 39% among the elderly over 65 years old. Only in the age group of 50 to 64 years, this index remains almost constant and is at the level of 46%.
Also, Trump’s popularity among people of color decreased by 14 points to 22%, while among whites, a decrease of 9 points to 46% was reported. Among those earning less than $50,000 a year, approval of Trump fell from 45% to 31%, and among those earning more than $50,000, it dropped from 49% to 41%.
Among political groups, the biggest drop is observed among independent voters; Only 28% of them approve of Trump’s performance, compared to 43% in February. Among Republicans, the approval rating fell a slight 4 points to 84 percent, and among Democrats, just 3 percent approved of his performance, down from 11 percent in February.
This survey was conducted between October 27 and 30 with the participation of 1,245 people, and the margin of error is 3.1 percent.
