Jordan: We oppose the presence of Western forces to administer the Gaza Strip – Mehr news agency RCO News Agency

According to RCO News Agency, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi stated in a conversation with Al-Sharq that the country has agreed with Egypt on the training of Palestinian police forces to be stationed in the Gaza Strip.

He added: We are preparing to implement this agreement. Jordan opposes the presence of Western forces to manage the affairs of the Gaza Strip.

A few days ago, King Abdullah II of Jordan said: Jordan will not send troops to the Gaza Strip.

He added: Jordan and Egypt are ready to train Palestinian security forces.
