Warning about widespread power outages in the occupied territories – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to the Mehr news agency, citing Sputnik, surveys conducted in the occupied territories indicate that the Zionist regime faces widespread power outages during wars and crises.
In this research, conducted under the supervision of Ariel University professor Erez Cohen, it is stated that the electricity industry in the occupied territories is facing many problems, including the gap in supply and demand and excessive reliance on natural gas.
70% of the electricity produced is obtained from the gas of the Tamar and Levitan fields, and the targeting of these fields can lead to widespread power outages in the occupied territories.
The Jerusalem Post newspaper wrote that the gas shortage in the occupied territories will reach its peak in the coming year, and the Zionist regime’s economy will probably suffer losses of hundreds of millions.
The internal electricity network is highly concentrated in the occupied lands and any damage to the main power plant can cause widespread outages.
In addition to the electricity sector, the Zionist regime is also facing a crisis in the water sector, so that according to international statistics, this regime ranks ninth among 164 governments in the world regarding the deterioration of the water situation.
