Doha: We are in contact with both sides to maintain the ceasefire in Gaza – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to the Mehr news agency, quoted by Sputnik, Qatar’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani said that his country is actively communicating with both the Israeli and Palestinian sides to ensure the stability of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip despite the challenges it faced on Tuesday.
He added: “We are monitoring the challenges that the ceasefire faced on Tuesday and this was to be expected. However, fortunately, both sides acknowledge that this agreement should stand.”
Qatar’s foreign minister said: “What happened yesterday was disappointing and we tried to contain it. “Washington is committed to this agreement.”
He continued: “Our mission today is to guarantee the end of the war and the implementation of what was agreed in Sharm el-Sheikh; is.”
Last Tuesday night, the Zionist regime once again violated the cease-fire in the Gaza Strip and targeted various areas of this strip, as a result of which dozens of Palestinians were martyred and injured.
