According to Mehr news agency, newspaper Economy The Times reported that the Indian government has managed to extend the US sanctions exemption for operations in Iran’s Chabahar port until early next year (2026).

According to this report, this port, which has a strategic role in India’s regional connectivity plan, maintains the country’s vital route to Afghanistan, Central Asia, and Eastern Russia, and enables the continuation of economic and humanitarian cooperation.
