The trip of the UN coordinator in Lebanon to the occupied territories – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Anatoly, Jenin Plaskhart, the UN Special Coordinator in Lebanon, entered the occupied Palestinian territories on Monday as part of an official visit.
Pluskhart’s office in Lebanon announced that this trip was carried out in line with periodic consultations with relevant parties to follow up on the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
According to this report, during this trip, Plaskhart is going to meet with high-ranking officials of the Zionist regime and discuss the latest regional developments, especially regarding the implementation of Resolution 1701.
The UN Special Coordinator will also discuss and exchange views on the understanding on the cessation of hostilities, which has been in effect since November 2024.
The UN office in Lebanon has emphasized that the purpose of these consultations is to strengthen security and stability on both sides of the water line between Lebanon and the occupied territories.
