The probability of victory of the extreme right in the early elections of the Netherlands – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to the Mehr news agency, the English newspaper Guardian in a report called the early elections held on Wednesday in the Netherlands as the failure of Geert Wilders as anti-immigrant and wrote: Despite the failure of the leader of the Azadi Party, Dutch politics is still a surfing place for far-right and anti-immigration politicians.
Referring to the exit of Wilders’ party from the government and his laying the groundwork for the collapse of the Dutch government, the Guardian wrote: “Wilders’ party and other far-right currents still have significant influence on the media and the political atmosphere of the country, and this dominance is obvious on the eve of early elections on Wednesday.”
This western media added: Dutch media, which is largely controlled by the extreme right, even in the direct absence of Wilders, reflects his policies and programs as well as other radical right parties and highlights their presence. Moderate and even some right-wing parties, by accepting far-right policies in the parliament, have somehow helped to normalize the slogans of this movement, including strict immigration policies.
The Guardian wrote: On the other hand, the left wing, despite the merger of the Greens and the Labor Party, has not been able to make a significant impact on the country’s media and political atmosphere and remains on the sidelines. Despite Wilders’ failure to run the government, it is clear that the far right still dominates the Netherlands. Liberal Democratic parties spend more energy fighting each other than fighting the far right.
