Venezuela’s reaction to the “Trinidad and Tobago” exercise in the Caribbean – Mehr news agency RCO News Agency

According to Mehr news agency, citing Al Mayadeen, the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry condemned the “Trinidad and Tobago” exercise, which was conducted in coordination with the US Southern Command in the Caribbean.

The Foreign Ministry of Venezuela considered this action a hostile provocation against this country and a serious threat to peace in the Caribbean region.

The ministry added: The government of Trinidad and Tobago has abandoned the sovereignty of this country to act as a military colony subject to the interests of the United States.

Venezuela’s Foreign Ministry further announced that the Trinidad and Tobago exercise is not a defense exercise, but a military aggression aimed at turning the Caribbean into a space for violence.

The ministry stressed that Venezuela does not accept threats from any government that is subordinate to the United States.
