According to Mehr news agency, Nawaf In a conversation with Al-Mayadeen Online, Prime Minister Salam of Lebanon emphasized: We adhere to Resolution 1701, along with stopping aggression against our country, and we continue our efforts to stop Israel’s attacks and its complete withdrawal and the release of our prisoners.
Salam said: Today, we are witnessing a massive change in the world, both in terms of the number of governments that recognize the state of Palestine and in terms of public opinion.
He added: The process of implementing the Taif agreement regarding the monopoly of weapons in the hands of the government should have been done decades ago. Our goal is to rebuild the country, which cannot be based on 2 armies.
Salam said: If it was not for the sacrifices of Hezbollah and the national resistance in general, either before this party or alongside this party, the areas of southern Lebanon would not have been liberated.
Regarding Iran, he also said: We care about having the best relations with Iran, but these relations should be based on mutual respect and non-interference.
