Hamas emphasized on adherence to the ceasefire in the meeting with the Turkish authorities – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to the Mehr news agency, citing the Palestine Information Center, “Hakan Fidan“, Turkish Foreign Minister, and “Ibrahim Kalin”, Turkish Information Minister, met and talked with a delegation of leaders of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) headed by Mohammad Darwish, the head of the movement’s leadership council.
In this meeting, which was attended by Khalid Meshaal, Zaher Jabarin, Nizar Awadullah and Sami Khater, members of the political office of Hamas, the developments related to the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and the ways of sending humanitarian aid to this strip were discussed.
According to the Hamas statement, Darwish emphasized in this meeting that the Zionist regime is delaying the implementation of the provisions of the ceasefire agreement through its repeated violations and non-compliance with the reopening of the Rafah crossing to send the sick and injured, as well as preventing humanitarian aid from entering Gaza.
Despite the repeated violations of the ceasefire by “Israel”, he emphasized the adherence of Hamas to a complete ceasefire and added that this movement, along with other Palestinian groups, insists on the inalienable rights of its people to self-determination and the right to form an independent state with Quds Sharif as its capital.
Darwish also emphasized the need to provide all the basic requirements for the immediate start of the resettlement operation, repair of roads, supply of water and food aid, and finally the complete reconstruction of what was destroyed due to aggression in the Gaza Strip.
The head of the Hamas leadership council appreciated the efforts of Türkiye, especially its president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, as well as the efforts of mediators to stop the genocidal war against the people of Gaza.
Praising Turkey’s general positions in support of the Palestinian nation and its just cause, he emphasized the importance of playing a role by all the forces and activists of the Arab and Islamic world in supporting the stability of the Palestinian people, especially in Gaza, which is suffering from the consequences of the Israeli regime’s genocidal war.

Ibrahim Kalin, the Minister of Information of Türkiye, also pointed out his country’s firm position towards the Palestinian issue and announced Türkiye’s efforts to stabilize the ceasefire and reduce the suffering of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
