Gaza ceasefire is fragile; America and Israel are the cause of regional wars – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
Mehr News Agencyinternational group, Holy Prophet: The fragile ceasefire in Gaza has once again drawn the world’s attention to the deep roots of the conflict between Palestine and the Zionist regime, as well as the power struggles in the region. Although this temporary ceasefire has been able to prevent more killings for a short time, questions about its durability, the process of rebuilding Gaza, and the accountability of the perpetrators of crimes are still at the center of regional debates.
In this context, “Abdul Bari Atvan» In a conversation with the Mehr news agency, the editor of “Ray-e-Youm” newspaper described the current ceasefire as “very fragile” and referring to the long history of violations of agreements by the Zionist regime, he considered the prospect of lasting peace to be very dark.
He analyzed the political, economic and geopolitical aspects of Israel’s actions and talked about the extensive destruction of Gaza’s infrastructure to Tel Aviv’s ambition to realize the “Greater Israel” plan; Issues that, according to him, hinder any real initiative for peace in the region.
The ceasefire in Gaza is very fragile
Atwan In response to a question about the stability of the ceasefire in Gaza, he said: This ceasefire is very fragile, because the Zionist regime has never been reliable. Before this, several agreements have been made regarding the ceasefire and the exchange of prisoners, but none of them have come to fruition. Take a look at Lebanon; After more than 8 months of the ceasefire, Israel has violated it more than 5,000 times and attacks and kills people in Lebanon almost every day. The same experience can be repeated in Gaza. Even today, despite the ceasefire, a number of civilians were martyred in the attacks of the Zionist regime. This regime has never adhered to its commitments; Not in Lebanon, not in Yemen, not in Gaza, not in the West Bank. Therefore, I am not optimistic.
reconstruction of Gaza; An invalid promise
He said about the process of reconstruction of Gaza: The reconstruction of Gaza will be a very complicated stage, because almost the entire area has been razed to the ground. The Zionist regime has destroyed about 95% of houses and tall buildings in Gaza and made more than two million people homeless. The main question is, will Israel allow reconstruction? And if so, who pays for it?
Atwan He continued: Israel is the cause of this destruction, but it wants the Arab countries to pay for the reconstruction. A project that may cost tens of billions of dollars. It is still too early to talk about reconstruction, because we are only in the first phase of the ceasefire. Israel may once again violate the agreement and even return to reoccupy Gaza.
Criticizing Washington’s support for Tel Aviv, he added: The US government gave Tel Aviv a green light to destroy Gaza. As long as the US supports the Zionist regime, these crimes will continue and reconstruction will be just a meaningless slogan. Currently, the main priority should be to save the people of Gaza from genocide, hunger and destruction, as well as to facilitate the arrival of humanitarian aid. People are really starving. We need to keep them alive first and then talk about rebuilding.
Israel’s plan to dominate the region
Atwan In another part of the conversation about the impact of the recognition of the Palestinian state by some countries, he said: In the current situation, the most important issue is maintaining the ceasefire. It is no longer relevant to talk about a two-state solution or the formation of an independent Palestinian state, because America, which supports the ceasefire and the so-called peace plan, does not recognize such a state. Trump has repeatedly stated that he is against the creation of an independent Palestinian state. He has opposed all efforts to reach a lasting solution.
This prominent analyst of the Arab world added: Palestinians want to form their own independent state, not only in Gaza and the West Bank, but throughout the Palestinian territory. But the problem is that Israel does not seek to preserve the occupied borders of 1948, but its goal is to create a greater Israel; A plan that will end at the cost of the complete occupation of Palestine and parts of Arab countries such as Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Egypt. The Zionist regime wants to control the entire region and redesign the geopolitical structure of the region.
Atwan Referring to Tel Aviv’s threats against Iran, he said: America and the Zionist regime are seeking to destroy Iran’s military and nuclear infrastructure. They specialize in war and destruction, not peace and construction. We must be alert and ready to stand against the plan of the Israeli regime to dominate the region.
Tel Aviv and Washington’s hidden agenda in Gaza
Atwan Regarding the possibility of prosecuting the leaders of the Zionist regime on charges of war crimes, he said: The leaders of Tel Aviv are seeking the complete destruction of the Palestinian people. As Trump said, their goal is to turn Gaza into the “Riviera of the Middle East” (land of refugees). Gaza has rich oil and gas resources, and the Zionist regime and Trump’s team plan to make hundreds of billions of dollars from these resources. To achieve this goal, they want to gradually evict the residents of Gaza.
He continued: Israel will implement this sinister plan step by step. First he talks about a ceasefire, then he violates it by making excuses, and finally he will use these excuses to get out of international isolation. In this way, Trump also acts as a real estate broker for both Israel’s interests and his personal interests. He sees Gaza as an opportunity for trade and business, even if the price is suffering.
The region is on the verge of a new war
Atwan In the end, he said: the region is still on the verge of a new war. The current US president is not the president of peace but the president of war. He has worked to strengthen the Zionist regime and by granting 26 billion dollars in financial aid to Tel Aviv, he has paved the way for future wars. As long as there is no strong regional force to counter the US and the Zionist regime, the Middle East will remain unstable, perhaps for decades or even centuries.
