Deadly accident in Brazil with at least 17 victims – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Guardian, at least 17 people died after a bus collided with an embankment on the side of the road and overturned in northeastern Brazil.
This bus had about 30 passengers at the time of the accident, but the number of injured people who were taken to the hospital is not known. This bus had left from the state of Bahia and had an accident in the city of Salua.
According to the police, after losing control of the bus, the driver entered the opposite lane and hit the stones on the side of the road. After returning to the main lane, it hit a sand embankment and overturned.
According to the Brazilian Ministry of Transport, more than 10,000 people will be killed in road accidents in 2024.
