Human Rights Watch’s request to the European Union to prosecute Tel Aviv – Mehr News Agency | RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Al Jazeera, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Watch, which has repeatedly documented the genocidal crimes committed by the Zionist regime against the Gaza Strip, called on the European Union in a new statement to prosecute the regime for the destruction of European-funded projects in the Gaza Strip.
This human rights organization stressed: During the genocide in Gaza, Tel Aviv systematically destroyed infrastructure and residential units that were partially or fully financed by the European Union. This process targeted the destruction and destruction of vital systems established to guarantee the fundamental rights of civilians to water, sanitation, education and adequate housing.
The statement continued: Our team conducted an initial assessment documenting the destruction of desalination plants, hospitals, clinics, health centers, schools and housing units built with EU funding. The EU’s failure to use its tools of pressure against Tel Aviv means that European-funded destruction of assets and terrorizing civilians can continue without political or legal cost.
The European-Mediterranean Human Rights Watch stated: The continued silence of the European Union as an observer towards Tel Aviv’s policies is an abdication of legal, political and moral responsibilities. The union is tasked with launching an official investigation and publishing a detailed public report on the damage to EU-funded assets in Gaza.
At the end of the statement, it is emphasized: The European Union should demand that Tel Aviv pay full and immediate compensation for the damages caused to all facilities financed by the European public budget. We ask the European countries to prosecute the Tel Aviv authorities who are involved in issuing or executing the order to destroy these assets and to support the international legal processes in this field.
