A Hamas leader: Hamas has not violated the ceasefire and our weapons are legal – Mehr News Agency | RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, Ghazi Hamad, one of the leaders of the Hamas movement, stated last night in a conversation with Al-Mayadeen network that the Zionist regime is threatening with “violence and brutality” and this behavior from the occupiers is not unexpected.
He emphasized that Hamas adheres to the agreements, while Tel Aviv violates them on a daily basis.
Hamad further said that the Zionist regime has not been able to achieve its goals in the Gaza Strip, and for this reason, it has adopted brutal thinking.
Regarding the complex issue of exchanging bodies, which requires time, he explained that the Tel Aviv regime has made the process of this exchange difficult by changing the face of Gaza. Hamad added that Hamas will hand over the bodies, as promised, and that what is happening now is an attempt by Israel to put pressure on the movement.
This Hamas leader called the Zionist regime’s method of pressure regarding the exchange of prisoners’ bodies unacceptable and announced that the mediators were aware of this issue and understood Hamas’s position.
He also pointed to the violations of the agreements by the Zionist regime and emphasized: We have documented 28 civilian martyrs as a result of the occupation’s shooting and many violations since the beginning of the agreement.
Hamad also announced the penetration and advance of the occupying tanks into the yellow line in the Gaza Strip as other violations of the ceasefire.
Emphasizing on Hamas’ adherence to Trump’s plan and the completion of the first phase of the agreement, he stated that Hamas will act in two directions: “identity preservation and reconstruction” and this reconstruction should not come at the cost of the identity of the Palestinian people.
This senior member of Hamas also emphasized that the weapon in the hands of Hamas is a legal and national weapon and is only used against the occupiers.
Hamad further stated regarding the future of Gaza: We have a common and comprehensive view that the Palestinians are the ones who should manage the Gaza Strip. Hamad emphasized that Hamas does not want any committee under international guardianship.
