According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Al Jazeera, the spokesman of the UN Secretary General said: We emphasize the necessity of reopening all crossings in the Gaza Strip to expand aid delivery.

Stephen Dujarric added at the daily press conference at the UN headquarters in New York: Israel currently does not issue visas to non-governmental organizations and does not allow many of them to send aid to Gaza.

He emphasized: The United Nations has deployed teams to inspect Salah al-Din Street, which has not been used for months in the Gaza Strip.

“We have completed the clearing of the roads leading to the Ayers and Zikim crossings to the Gaza Strip in preparation for their possible reopening for aid,” Dujarric noted.
