Hamas on the anniversary of Yahya Sanwar’s martyrdom: the flames of Al-Aqsa storm will not be extinguished – Mehr News Agency | RCO News Agency
According to the Mehr news agency, citing the information center, the Islamic resistance movement of Hamas, in a statement on the occasion of the first anniversary of the martyrdom of martyr Yahya Sanwar (Abu Ibrahim), the former head of the political bureau of this movement, emphasized: the flame of the “storm of al-Aqsa” will not be extinguished and the blood of the martyred leaders will strengthen the path of resistance for future generations. We emphasize our commitment to be steadfast in their path and faithful to their sacrifices and path to the freedom of the land and sanctuaries of Palestine.
It is stated in this statement: One year has passed since that heroic saga that the world witnessed; A saga whose hero was the commander of the “Storm of Al-Aqsa”, the martyr Yahya Sanwar – the one who ended his entire life of jihad and struggle with martyrdom; Standing in the heart of the battle, holding his staff and bravely standing against the power and crime of the invaders.
In the continuation of this statement, we read: Now a year has passed since the martyrdom of this great national commander, while our nation, with patience, persistence and endurance, and the resistance of Palestine, with strength and courage, were able to achieve a national achievement and a great agreement that thwarted all the plans of the enemy to encroach on our land and nation. An agreement that ended the genocidal war, starvation and forced displacement and brought about the prisoner exchange known as Tofan al-Ahrar – an agreement that freed 1968 Palestinian prisoners and shattered the pride of the Zionist jailer.
Hamas added: “On the first anniversary of the martyrdom of the Mujahideen commander and hero, Yahya Sanwar, we commemorate his fruitful life and campaign path with pride and honor. He lived in Jihad Square since his youth and in 23 years of captivity, he crushed the Zionist prison guards with perseverance and persistence. After his release from prison, he continued to prepare, organize, and plan until the dawn of October 7, 2023 marked the day when he crushed the occupying regime, shook its structure, and destroyed the myth of the invincibility of its army, until finally he was martyred on the same battlefield, while fighting among his fighters.
This movement continued: We emphasize that the martyrdom of commander Yahya Sanwar and other leaders and figures of the movement who stepped on the path of jihad and freedom before him will only increase our strength, endurance and determination and our nation and our resistance to continue their path and loyalty to their blood and sacrifice.
This statement adds: The flame of “Al-Aqsa Storm” will always remain lit, it beats with the spirit of insistence on rights, principles and national unity, and its fire will never be extinguished in the heart of our great nation – even though the sacrifices are heavy and the power of the enemy is increasing. We remain on our agreement with martyred leaders; The flag will never fall to the ground, but will remain raised and flying, so that all the children of our nation will carry it from generation to generation and defend it, until the complete freedom and formation of an independent state of Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital is realized.
Hamas stressed: On the first anniversary of your martyrdom, O Abu Ibrahim, rest in peace; Because you fulfilled the trust, fought in the way of God, pulled down the flag of the enemy, crushed his pride and shook the foundations of his alleged existence. Although Paket’s body is not among us in Gaza, but your soul flying in the skies, testifies that the blood of the martyrs paints the eternal glory of Palestine and the nation. The enemy failed to achieve its aggressive goals in Gaza and finally had to accept a ceasefire, while recapturing its prisoners only based on the will and conditions of the resistance.
At the end of this statement, it is stated: Mercy, honor and immortality on the soul of the martyr commander Yahya Sanwar (Abu Ibrahim) and on all the caravans of martyrs from among the leaders, children of our nation and nation. We ask the Almighty God to place them in Paradise next to the prophets, righteous people, martyrs and the righteous. And what good companions they are.
