According to Mehr news agency, quoted by Al-Mayadin, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said: “We are making progress; Because today Venezuela is becoming a model of dignity, peaceful and hardworking people for the world.
He added: We need to double our comprehensive defense preparation and even though we are fully confident in our ability to defend the fate of our country, we need more preparations.
Maduro said: “Tomorrow I will announce comprehensive defense zones on the border with Colombia, namely the states of Tachira, Apure and Amazonas.”
The president of Venezuela stated: The comprehensive defense zone that we intend to activate is an evolving model, and thus the preparation for active and creative popular defense and resistance is increasing.
He said: “Venezuela belongs to the Venezuelan people, both men and women, and we will continue our path to peace by exercising our full sovereignty and defending the right to life.”
Maduro’s statements have been raised while the Trump administration authorized the secret operations of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in Venezuela, and according to this, the CIA can carry out deadly operations either independently or in cooperation with the military.
According to this newspaper, the US military has prepared options for consideration by Trump, which includes possible attacks inside Venezuela.
On Tuesday evening, Trump published a post on his social network, Truth Social, and said that on his order, US military forces attacked a vessel off the coast of Venezuela, killing 6 people.
The US President claimed that this vessel was carrying drug smuggling.
Since last September, the US has attacked Venezuelan boats five times under the pretext of transporting drugs.
