French President Emmanuel Macron said on Thursday that the formation of the Provisional Government for the Gaza Strip is being investigated by the Palestinians with the exception of Hamas.

During a speech at a meeting of the Arab, European and Asian foreign ministers in Paris, he claimed that Hamas should be disarmed, and this is a fundamental step towards sustainable peace.

The French president said an international force must be deployed in cooperation with Jordan and Egypt to stabilize the Gaza Strip, and France is ready to play a role.

He added that accelerating the construction of settlements in the West Bank is unacceptable and a threat to the Palestinian state.

It is noteworthy that the ceasefire agreement in Gaza was signed on Thursday afternoon between the Hamas movement and the Zionist regime in the city of Shariz al -Sheikh.
