US President Donald Trump claimed Türkiye’s readiness to stop Russian oil purchases, according to the Mehr News Agency.

Trump told reporters at the White House that the question of whether Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had agreed to stop imports from Russia, “I don’t comment!”

However, he added: “I don’t want to say that, but if I ask him (Erdogan), he will.

“I believe he is able to stop (import),” the US president added. Do you know why? Because there are many people that he can buy from.

According to Trump, it would be much more difficult to stop buying Russian oil for Hungary and Slovakia.
