Five members of the Syrian Democratic Forces, known as “Qasd”, were killed in an ISIL attack on Deir ez Zor province in northeast Syria, according to the Mehr News Agency.
According to the report, in a statement on Thursday, Qasd said that the group’s forces were repelled by ISIL against one of their headquarters in al -Bahra al -Wasti, east of Deir al -Zor, this morning that five members were killed in violent clashes.
Qadd forces added that they had repelled the ISIL attack and were able to thwart the terrorist conspiracy and seize field control in the area. They also continue to surveillance and prosecute terrorist elements to destroy them in the accident area, ensure the security of residents and eradicate danger centers.
The Syrian Human Rights Watch has claimed that the number of ISIL attacks in the new government -controlled areas has declined since the ouster of Bashar al -Assad on December 5, but has increased in Kurdish -controlled areas.
The ISIL terrorist group has controlled large areas in Syria and Iraq for the past year until it was expelled from Iraq and then in Syria in year 2. However, although it does not control any land now, it is still active in remote desert areas.
