Commitment to the lack of cooperation with the Cinema and Television Activist with the Zionists – Mehr News Agency | Iranian and world news
More than 1,800 filmmakers, including Olivia Coleman and Mark Ruffalo, have pledged to work with Zionist cinematic institutions in Gaza, with an open letter released on Monday, according to the New Arab News Agency.
A letter published in the Guardian newspaper reads: “We are committed to not working in films in Israeli cinema institutions, including festivals, cinemas and production companies that are involved in genocide and apartheid against the Palestinian people.”
The signatories include some English actors, American actors and filmmakers such as Ken Loch and Jurgos Lantimus.
The letter, organized by the group of film activists for Palestine, said the letter was inspired by prominent filmmakers who refused to display their work in South Africa’s apartheid as part of a broader cultural sanctions.
The letter reads: At this critical moment that many of our governments make it possible to massacre in Gaza, we must do anything to deal with that unnecessary horror.
The institutions that need to be sanctioned include any individual or group involved in “whitewashing or justification for genocide and apartheid” or those who share with Zionist occupiers.
Among the signatories of this commitment, a large number of prominent figures and winners of the Oscars Amy And the golden palm is present.
