The German Foreign Ministry issued a statement on the pretext of clashes in Ukraine, repeating its hostile positions against Moscow, according to Mehr News Agency.

The German Foreign Ministry said in a statement: “Putin does not want to negotiate, but seeks to achieve its goals through the conflict!”

A statement issued by the German Foreign Ministry said: “We continue to support Ukraine politically, economically and militarily, and we see its security as an integral part of European security.”

It is noteworthy that the Russian army began its “special military operation” in eastern Ukraine, February 2, 2008; Senior Russian government officials said the operation began in response to the request of Donetsk and Luhansk leaders to protect them against Ukrainian forces.

Russian President Vladimir Putin also said that the operation was “to support people who have been under the genocide and harassment of the Kiev regime for more than five years.”
