Lebanese Minister of Labor Reaction to Cabinet and Possible Scenarios – Mehr News Agency | Iranian and world news
Lebanese Minister of Labor Mohammed Haidar, referring to today’s meeting of the Lebanese cabinet and possible scenarios at the meeting, said: “There is no predetermined scenario, but what is happening is unusual events because the Israeli enemy was on Wednesday night.”
“The enemy can expect anything, but the question is: What will the Lebanese government do?” What will be his steps? What is his role in the event of an attack? What will be the role of the Lebanese army? Should we just stand and watch? Is this all that is necessary?
The Lebanese minister said: Israel is not committed to anything and nothing prevents its attacks, because to this day no one has guaranteed to adhere to any resolution. US envoy Thomas Barack announced this, and Israel has in turn announced it.
He added: “How can we discuss what happens to any issue?” There are issues that we cannot accept, and some of the Lebanese feel that the government does not care.
“We have no information and have not received anything as a minister,” Haidar also said of the meeting and the content of the army plan. We will determine our steps during the session.
“We take steps to support Lebanon in these steps and whether it is to the streets and protests.”
“We welcome any debate,” he said. Let’s see what happens. All possibilities are raised and we will determine the steps during the meeting.
Haidar suspected that the calls would continue until the last minute to reach an agreement in favor of all Lebanese.
“This country belongs to all of us, not part of the Lebanese,” he said. The position we will take will be determined during the meeting and according to its events.
