Russian Vice President Nikolai Patrushav emphasized: “Our response to any military attack on Kaliningrad will be urgent and crushing.”

He added: “This response will be given using all the military forces and equipment based on the military doctrine and the basics of the Russian government’s policy on nuclear deterrence.”

“We have all the facilities to ensure the security of the Kaliningrad area,” Patrushav said.

“We have long been informed of Western plans against the area,” he said. Kaliningrad is an integral part of Russia.

Earlier, the NATO commander had said that NATO was planning to suppress Russia’s defense capability in Kaliningrad.
