The Iraqi Embassy in Damascus today expressed his deep dissatisfaction with the attack on Ayatollah Sistani’s office in Damascus on Tuesday, according to the Mehr News Agency.
A statement by the Iraqi Embassy in Syria said: “Those who claimed to be dependent on the Office of Public Security attacked the office at 9pm last Tuesday and trapped its property and insulted the staff in the office.”
The Iraqi Embassy emphasized: “These are provocative measures and have injured the emotions of millions of followers of the supreme religious authority in Iraq and the world and are an insult to the well -known religious status of this authority, which is known as its moderation, wisdom and tolerance.”
The Iraqi Embassy in Damascus once again emphasized its interest in maintaining social peace in Syria and ensuring the rights of all religious, religious and ethnic groups.
The Iraqi Embassy further urged Syrian officials to deal with offenders and prevent such actions.
