Basic challenges facing Lebanon without Hezbollah weapon; Weakness of the Beirut Government – Mehr News Agency Iranian and world news
According to RCO News Agency, the website Al -Nashra Lebanon wrote in an article that we need to take a quick and objective look at Lebanon, given the recent outburst about the Hezbollah weapon case and the Lebanese government’s talk about the delivery of this weapon, in other words, disarmed the resistance.
Al -Nashra He added that the delivery of Hezbollah weapons in the area of the region and continuing the aggression and occupation of the Zionist regime on Lebanon’s soil puts the government against complex security and defense commitments.
The continuation of the Zionist regime’s threats to the southern border of Lebanon and the challenges of tensions on the borders with Syria require Lebanon to fundamentally evaluate its defense system, especially in light of the prohibition of proper arms.
Currently, the main problem is the weakness of the Lebanese army’s defense capability, especially in the field of air defense, which is the backbone of any effective defense strategy in different countries around the world. An army that lacks an integrated system of modern warplanes and advanced systems is vulnerable to any air threat, and this is Lebanon’s current situation.
Despite the controversy that some Hezbollah’s military weapons and facilities in Lebanon, the reality is that the weapon of resistance has always been a deterrent to foreign threats against Lebanon, which means that the absence of Hezbollah’s weapons in Lebanon will create a great security vacuum; Unless the Lebanese army reinforces its capabilities, which is not possible, because the international veto, especially the US against the Lebanese Army’s proper equipping, remains in place and is not expected to be canceled in the short or even long -term.
According to this article, it is true that the successive governments of Lebanon have always been criticized by some parties for the presence of Hezbollah weapons, claiming that Hezbollah was another government within the government, but the positive aspect of the resistance weapon for the Lebanese government is that Hezbollah was at the forefront of defense of the country.
“The government can feel comfortable in the shadow of Hezbollah’s weapon, and even if it was imposed on Lebanon, it was responsible for Hezbollah, not the government,” says the Al -Nashra website, which is incidentally close to Lebanon’s resistance. But if Hezbollah disarmed, the Lebanese government must perform all duties and endure the consequences of any Israeli aggression.
On the other hand, the Lebanese army has never performed acceptable performance over the past decades during various clashes with the Zionist enemy and even the Takfiri-terrorist forces, and has been publicly relied on Hezbollah. Therefore, if the Lebanese army wants to take over security responsibilities in the formerly -controlled areas of Hezbollah, it will face numerous challenges and will need to increase the number of human resources and strengthen the logistical equipment.
In this case, the Lebanese army will also have to deploy more forces along the Lebanese borders with occupied Palestine and Syria simultaneously, and thus put a lot of pressure on it. Strengthening the military capabilities of the Lebanese army due to its complex financial and economic crisis is out of reach, and the suffocating crisis that Lebanon experiences prevents sufficient funding to equip the army, and in most cases the military cannot even pay its troops.
On the other hand, international military aid, especially US aid to the Lebanese army, is often accompanied by many political constraints, and instead of providing strategic defense capabilities, it focuses on light weapons that are not effective in major wars, and in particular cannot create deterrence power for Lebanon against the threats of the Zionist regime.
Meanwhile, the Zionist regime’s aggression against Syria and the elimination of its military capacity after the fall of Bashar al -Assad’s government is the best evidence of the regime’s pre -planned intentions for the region, indicating that Israel wants to destroy all elements of the regional power that threaten the regime.
Finally, we should note that Lebanon is still a regional and international competition, and the vacuum of Hezbollah’s disarmament could lead to new foreign interventions in the country and potentially threaten Lebanon’s sovereignty. In this situation, trying to build a strong and independent country is the biggest challenge facing Lebanon.
