CBC: Trump and Carney talked about Iran too
The Canadian media says the prime minister and the US president consult on foreign political issues.
US President Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carnery came to common areas during their private talks at the White House lunch at the White House Hall.
The Canadian network of CBC quoted a senior official as saying that Trump and Carney have spent most of the lunch time on foreign policy -related issues as well as new US tariffs, attempting to turn Canada into the fifty -one US state, Russian and Ukraine war, tensions with China and Iran.
The Canadian official also said that the heads of neighboring countries dealt with drug trafficking problems, and Trump showed a special interest in issues related to northern, energy and mineral resources.
Washington-Attawa relations have been re-tried in recent months with Trump’s re-victory and the White House has repeatedly called for Canada to become a US state, but Canadian officials, including a recently prime minister, have strongly denied it.
Carne and Trump’s meeting took place on Tuesday evening, and Kareni announced that he hopes to re -meet Trump in the coming weeks and during the Group Seven summit in Canada.
Trump had described the talks with Caren as “extraordinary”.
