EU: We support diplomacy on Iran’s nuclear issue – Mehr News Agency | Iranian and world news
According to RCO News Agency, EU foreign policy chief Kaya Kalas says the block supports diplomacy on Iran’s nuclear issue.
In a message on the X -Social Network, Calcis wrote: “I spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi in order to emphasize the EU support for diplomacy on the Iranian nuclear issue and tensions in the region.”
He once again repeated the unnecessary claims of the EU of Iran’s military support for Russia, adding: “I asked Iran to halt military support for Russia and have raised concerns about European citizens and human rights.” EU-Iran relations depend on progress in all areas.
Calas’s remarks on diplomacy support on Iran’s nuclear issue have been launched as indirect talks between Tehran and Washington on the Islamic Republic of Iran’s nuclear program in late April.
The first round of indirect talks between Tehran and Washington was held in Muscat and the second round of April in Rome, Italy.
Also, the third round of indirect talks between Tehran and Washington in an attempt to reach a nuclear deal with Iran was held in Oman with the participation of Trump’s Special Envoy, as well as Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi, in Oman.
The fourth round of talks was due to take place on Saturday this week, but Oman Foreign Minister Badr al -Bosidi said on Thursday that “we are planning to hold a meeting between Iran and the US for logistical reasons.” The new round of talks was scheduled to take place on Saturday. The new date of these talks will be announced after the agreement. “
The Axius news website claimed that Iranian and US negotiators are likely to pursue the fourth round of talks this week.
