Waltz: Trump is serious about Iran
In an interview, the US National Security Adviser pointed out that the US president is serious about the conclusion of diplomatic measures on Iran’s nuclear program, stressing that Washington was no longer able to pay for European security.
According to RCO News Agency, Iran’s National Security Adviser Mike Waltz said on Tuesday (yesterday) in an interview about the issue of Iran’s nuclear program and recent diplomatic efforts from Tehran and Washington to address it. Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon, and the president has repeatedly repeated this position and is absolutely serious about it.
Waltz had repeatedly told Iran about “options on the table”.
On the eve of the fourth round of Tehran-Washington’s indirect talks on Iran’s nuclear program and the European countries‘ readiness to meet Iran.
So far, Iran and the United States have held three indirect dialogue and a technical-expert meeting on Iran’s nuclear program and how US sanctions are lifted.
According to the Oman Foreign Ministry, the fourth round of talks will be held next Saturday.
US media sources also quoted US officials as saying that the next meeting will probably be held in a European country.
US President Donald Trump said about the talks, “We are going very well and we get a result without being bombed.”
The claim of military targets in Iran’s nuclear program has been repeated by Waltz when Iranian officials have insisted that the production and use of nuclear weapons has no place in Iran’s defense doctrine.
In addition, the International Atomic Energy Agency, which Iran’s nuclear program is one of the most strict surveillance and verification programs, has not yet proved or confirmed this claim in its numerous technical reports.
US attacks to Yemen
Waltz said of the US invasive attacks on Yemen under the pretext of weakening Yemen Ansarullah and stopping its retaliatory attacks in the Red Sea against Zionist ships in response to its war crimes in Gaza. We are trying to make Iran unseen. We are trying to open the Red Sea blue crossings. We are looking to resolve the Gaza war, and most importantly, we are securing our borders.
European defense costs
The US National Security Adviser said the US could no longer help NATO allies, adding that Ukraine’s defense should be carried out under the leadership of Europe.
Five days after Trump’s presidency, Waltz, among the doubts about Washington’s and the European Union’s cooperation, especially after Washington’s separate talks with Ukraine and Moscow about Ukraine’s peace without the participation of European capitals, insisted that the US government would continue its military and diplomatic support.
Criticizing the low cost of the NATO European allies, he said, “We have to take a look at the past and remember that five years ago, the cost of NATO’s defense with all its members was a group of 5 %.” This was at least possible in year 2. But what happened in year 6? The first attack on Ukraine, the capture of Crimea. This should have been a danger to everyone.
“We still have a lot of path,” Waltz said. We also urge our allies to pay their share fairly and share this time with us. The United States can no longer pay for European security, and we must distinguish between our Oriental allies such as Poland, Estonia, Lativa, Latvia and the rest.
