China’s “Army” is going to America
The collection of ancient sculptures known as the “Pottery Army” discovered in China is being transferred to the country for display at an exhibition in the United States.
According to RCO News Agency, when the world’s attention was focused on China in the year 9, the Bowers Museum brought five pottery soldiers to southern California. It was a great success. The museum was able to establish close connections with the cultural authorities of the SHAANXI province. In the year 9, the statue of the Emperor China Shi Huang was accidentally discovered by farmers.
The Bowers Museum, after another exhibition held in Year 2, is now repeating this success with the new “World of Cleaner Soldiers” exhibition on May 9. The exhibition has recently discovered two archaeological treasures from Shaanxi, which includes pottery soldiers, bronze utensils, chariot or other jade and gold objects.
Although the title of the World of Pottery is the Exhibition, its focus is beyond the post -death of the first Emperor of China. Decades of archaeological research throughout the “hearing” have a new light on the cultures that existed before the Chinese dynasty.
“The exhibition shows many new archaeological discoveries in a hearing,” said Tianlong Jiao, the leader of the exhibition. “The main issue is about social and cultural change in the province from about 5 BC to 5 BC.”
There is a ritual tripod that is marked with a initial form of Chinese letters, a rabbit -shaped container with a fork legs and a plane attached to a chariot with an image of a smiling and passionate face.
However, pottery soldiers have returned and are still stars of the exhibition. Here we encounter soldiers, shooters, standing and kneeling, a high -ranking military official, as well as a renovated example of an entertaining character who was supposed to provide the emperor in the post -death world.
Archaeological groups have explored more than 5 warriors created in China since the year 5, as well as other military works in a tomb that covers 2 square kilometers. It is estimated that there are probably 5 unique statues under the burial tomb.
These sculptures, made to the true size of a human being, each have their own unique face, have led archaeologists to present the theory of the famous Chinese army under the supervision of a Greek sculptor. The Greeks are recognized as the first people to build a sculpture with very close attributes to reality.
The pottery army was listed as one of the largest archaeological discoveries of the century in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The Exhibition “The World of Cepture Soldiers: New Archaeological Discoveries in the 5th Century” will be held from May 5 to October 5 at the Museum of Bahades, California.
