Syrian Foreign Minister Asad al -Shaibani urged the UN Security Council to pressure Israel to leave its lands, according to Mehr News Agency.

“We have repeatedly emphasized that Syria will not be a threat to any neighboring or other countries around the world, including Israel,” Asad al -Shaibani said in his first speech at the UN headquarters in New York.

The request comes after the Zionist regime launched air strikes and ground operations in Syria after the fall of Bashar al -Assad, and has now occupied parts of the country near the Golan Heights.
