US President Donald Trump said after meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu, who has traveled to the White House, saying: “We are conducting direct talks with Iran.”

“It is a great honor to accept you at the White House,” he told Netanyahu.

“Direct talks with Iran will begin and will continue until Saturday,” he said.

“Reaching an agreement with Iran is our preferred option, and we hope that these talks will be successful so that Iran will not reach nuclear weapons,” Trump said.

The US president added: “The success of these talks will be for Iran’s benefit.”

“We want Israel to play a role in any agreement on Iran, but at the same time we are trying to prevent the conflict,” Trump said.

The US president claimed that there are direct talks with Iran and a very important meeting will be held with Iranian officials on Saturday.

“On Saturday, we will have a big and direct meeting with the Iranians and we will see what will happen,” Trump added.

He also said: “Maybe we will reach an agreement with Iran and that would be great.”

The US president claimed that the talks are being held at the highest levels.

He claimed that the agreement with Iran may be a much different and much stronger agreement.

‌Applying heavy customs tariffs on imported goods to the US

“Many countries will be negotiating with us to reach agreements on customs tariffs,” Trump also said of tariffs on different countries.
He also added: “We want to open the market for countries that had already been closed against our products, including China.”

Trump said tariffs may be permanent or negotiated.

“China prevents our cars from buying our cars,” he said.

“Trade with the European Union should be fair and two -way,” Trump added.

“The EU should buy its energy from the US,” he said.

“Many countries are demanding exemption from customs tariffs,” Trump said.

He added: “The European Union has done very badly in its commercial treatment of us.”

“The countries that have been abusing us earlier are now coming to us to agree on tariffs,” Trump added.

“Canada and Mexico are cheating on our country,” he said.

The US president added: “I told Netanyahu that I love Erdogan, and if he had a problem with him, he must solve it himself.

“I told Netanyahu that the Israelis should treat Turkey wisely to solve any problems,” he said.

Netanyahu also thanked Trump after the meeting, “We appreciate your support for Israel.”

“During the meeting with President Trump, we have discussed issues such as customs tariffs,” he said.

Netanyahu emphasized that he had transferred his appreciation for the US position on tariffs to Trump, saying, “We will be trying to cancel tariffs and find a solution.”

The Zionist Prime Minister also said that the meeting discussed the crisis of Israeli captives in Gaza with Trump.

He revealed that President Trump’s envoy Steve Witakaf played an effective role in the agreement in which Israeli captives were released from Gaza.

He announced: I talked to Trump’s president about the situation in Syria and the deterioration of our relations with Türkiye.

He again added that I consulted with Türkiye with Trump about ways to prevent crisis.

Repeating his remarks on Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, Netanyahu said: I talked to Trump about ways to deal with Iran’s nuclear program crisis and are committed to preventing Tehran from accessing nuclear weapons.

The Zionist prime minister also said: “We talked to President Trump about his bold vision for Gaza, including potential countries to voluntarily accept the Palestinians.”
