Zakharova: US Secretary of State is still under Russian boycott – Mehr News Agency | Iranian and world news

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova said US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has not left the boycott list and that everything is said to be false, according to the Mehr News Agency.

Speaking to the Dice News Agency on Sunday, he said: “There are no Russian sanctions against the US Secretary of State now and whatever is said is a lie.”

Earlier on social media, it was reported that Russia has probably lifted sanctions against Rubio after the US and US foreign ministers’ talks.

Rubio was listed on Russia’s sanctions list against US citizens in May 2008 (spring 1) (in response to Washington’s move to boycott Russian officials and citizens after special military operations in Ukraine), which is facing a ban on the Russian Federation.

In November, Kremlin spokesman Dimet Peskov said Russia would not sanction Rubio as long as Sergei Lavrov is under US sanctions.
