Canada imposed sanctions on Iran
The Canadian Foreign Minister, while accusing Iran, announced sanctions against Tehran.
According to RCO News Agency, Foreign Minister Melanie Jolie announced sanctions against Iranian individuals and institutions under the pretext of “gross violations of human rights” and “destructive activities in the Middle East and the world”.
The sanctions have targeted three individuals and four entities that are associated with Canada’s claim to supply sophisticated technology networks; Networks that support the production and sale of weapons by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, including to Russia in the Ukrainian war.
Julie has also made hostile statements against Iran’s regional role in West Asia, claiming Tehran “threatens regional and international support and security.”
According to a statement published on the Canadian Government website, the sanctions have been imposed in line with its anti -Iranian allies, including the US and Canada.
Canada has so far sanctioned two individuals and four Iranian institutions.
