Venus: We will not tolerate the spread of nuclear weapons by Iran
The US vice president claimed that Washington would not tolerate the spread of nuclear weapons, including in Iran.
US Vice President JD Venus on Tuesday urged Ukrainian officials to return to the negotiating table and engage Donald Trump.
“The Ukrainian authorities must return to the negotiating table to resolve the conflict and start negotiations with President Trump,” Venus told FoxNews.
“Trump is still committed to the mineral resources agreement, and although we have received positive signals from Ukraine, these documents have not been signed,” he said.
Venus described the lack of private interaction with Ukraine as “serious American concern” and said, “We believe that ending the conflict in Ukraine is in the interest of the American people.”
“The war in Ukraine has reached a point where neither Europe, nor America nor Kiev can continue forever,” he said.
The US vice president also said that Washington would not tolerate the spread of nuclear weapons, including in Iran, and this would be one of the key priorities of the US government’s policy.
The claim has repeatedly stated that it has not sought nuclear weapons.
