The ruling Justice and Development Party in Turkey responded to the message of Abdullah Ocalan, the head of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), about the announcement of the dissolution of the party and its disarmament, according to the Mehr News Agency.
The Justice and Development Party, headed by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said in response to Ocalan’s message: “We are waiting for the dissolution of the Kurdistan Kurdish Party.”
Erdogan Party emphasized: “We look forward to the impact of Abdullah Ocalan’s statement on field developments.”
Abdullah Ocalan, the head of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), ended a four -decade fight with Türkiye on Thursday.
After meeting with representatives of the Party of Equality and Democracy of the Peoples on the Island of Amrli, Ocalan emphasized: “All groups must land their weapons and the PKK should dissolve themselves.”
He emphasized his support for civil struggle instead of armed struggle. He added: “The Kurds should hold a political conference.”
“The Kurds and the Turks have lived together for thousands of years and have the same fate,” Ocalan continued.
The head of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party pointed out: “I want to land weapons and take the historical responsibility of this call. The way we struggle is democracy and the creation of a democratic society.
Abdullah Ocalan emphasized: There is no other way than democracy and dialogue and the republic will not survive except through fraternal democracy.
