US judge blocks Trump’s citizenship order
A US federal judge in Seattle on Thursday struck down President Donald Trump’s executive order that limited automatic birthright citizenship in the US. The country would be blocked.
According to Isna, this judge issued a temporary order at the request of four states under the leadership of Democrats, which prevented the implementation of this order by the government.
Trump signed the executive order on Monday, the first day of his new presidency.
In a meeting, the judge told the lawyer of the US Department of Justice who defended Trump’s order: “This order is clearly unconstitutional.”
