Kyiv: We do not interfere in Syria
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine claimed that his country has no involvement in the recent developments in Syria.
According to RCO News Agency, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Hiorhi Tikhi, claimed in a News conference today (Saturday) that the deterioration of the security situation in Syria is due to the actions of the president of this country, Bashar al-Assad.
He went on to say that Kiev firmly and seriously rejects the accusations of Ukraine’s interference in the situation in Syria and the escalation of tension in this country.
Mojtabi Demirchilu, Assistant Minister and Director General of Eurasia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in a statement on Friday, referring to some reports about the illegal arms trade received from the United States by some Ukrainian officials and the country’s support for terrorist groups in Syria, stated these actions. He considered it a clear violation of the international obligations of the governments regarding the prevention and countering of terrorism and demanded an immediate stop.
The senior official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran reminded of the dangerous nature of terrorist-takfiri elements in Syria, which have been on the list of terrorist groups of the United Nations Security Council for a long time. International law described and emphasized: Experience shows that the alliance with terrorism only causes the spread of insecurity and violence in the world, and sooner or later it will take over its supporters.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine also tried to point the finger of blame at Iran and Russia and claimed that “the cause of the current situation in Syria is the actions of Bashar al-Assad, and Tehran and Moscow are responsible for it.” Therefore, the focus should not be changed.”
In his claims, Tikhi especially tried to draw attention to Russia and said: Russia is not capable of fighting on 2 fronts. This is evident from the events in Syria. why Because Russia’s significant losses in Ukraine have caused Moscow to withdraw the majority of its trained personnel and equipment from Syria, leaving its ally without the support it needs. As a result, we are witnessing the withdrawal of Russian military forces.
In recent days, Syria has witnessed the resurgence of terrorist and takfiri groups in this country, led by the Tahrir al-Sham terrorist group, against the government and the nation, whose focus is on opposing the Muslims and the resistance front, and their goal is to attract the attention of the United States and the Zionist regime through explicit statements. His enmity is with Iran and any group that claims to resist the occupation.
In the meantime, the United States, the Zionist regime and some supporters of terrorism in the region are trying to spread the illusory bipolarity of “Russia-Iran-China / Western-Free World” to the developments in Syria and the region in order to portray the conflicts in Syria as the continuation of the West’s war with Russia in Ukraine. .
