1,600 attacks on journalists by the Zionist regime in one year – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to Mehr news agency, citing Shahab news agency, the Center for the Support of Palestinian Journalists issued a report on the anniversary of the Al-Aqsa storm operation, describing the year-long aggressions of the Zionist regime against journalists and journalists in Gaza and wrote that journalists pay a priceless price in conveying the events and truths caused by them. They paid for the crimes of the Zionist regime in one of the biggest crimes against humanity in modern history, and the Israelis committed the most crimes against journalists.
This report examined the violations and crimes committed by the Zionist regime against Palestinian journalists and media in the period of one year from October 7, 2023 to October 6, 2024 and wrote that the total number of these violations in one year was more than 1,600 cases, with a total of 175 martyrs. Male and female journalists and the wounding of dozens of others have resulted. Some of the injured are disabled.
Also, 514 journalists have lost one or more members of their family as a result of the Zionist regime’s attacks against residential houses in Gaza.
This report stated that it has the documents related to the arrest of 124 journalists, of which the fate of two of them is unknown, and the Zionist regime refuses to provide information about the place of their arrest or their possible testimony.
This statement considered the terror and killings and the acts against journalists in Gaza by the Zionist regime as a clear violation of international conventions, especially the Geneva Convention and human rights charters, and called on the international community, governments, legal organizations and journalist unions to support journalists in Gaza to stand up and start the investigation regarding their methodical assassination in Gaza and punish the perpetrators of these incidents and the leaders and encouragers in the Zionist cabinet in international courts.
