Lemy: We listen to Ukraine’s needs
“David Lemmy”, British Foreign Minister, following the increase of requests from Kiev to use long-range missiles against Russia, said that the West is listening “carefully” to the needs of Ukraine.
According to Isna, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has repeatedly pressed the West for permission to use their missiles to target points inside Russian territory.
Lemmy, who traveled to Kyiv with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, told reporters that they are going to “listen to Ukraine” and “talk to Zelensky and understand his strategy.”
Asked if Britain would allow Ukraine to use long-range missiles against targets in Russia, Lemmy said: “We are here to listen, to understand the plan, to understand the strategy and to understand the needs on all fronts.”
He further pointed out that Russia has increased its cooperation with its friends and claimed the transfer of ballistic missiles from Iran to Russia.
The British Foreign Minister further stated that ammunition, armored vehicles and more support will be provided to Ukraine in order to win the war.
