According to the report of Mehr news agency, quoted by Sputnik, the assistant of the Russian president, Nikolai Patrushev, said in a speech: America and its allies are trying to make the situation on Russia’s borders tense and constantly put our defense capabilities to the test.

Regarding the militarization of Japan, he said: Washington turned this country into a “big and unsinkable aircraft carrier” in the years after the war to control Asia and the Pacific Ocean.

The assistant of the Russian president stated: The goal of our maritime policy is to continue the transformation of the forces and the base system of the Russian Pacific fleet. The hostile actions of the US and Japan around Russia’s borders will not go unanswered.

Patrushev added: attention to the military alliance between Tokyo and Washington has caused Japan to remain silent regarding the destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki by the United States, and the United States to remain silent regarding Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor.
