Moscow: The United States has given full authority to Ukraine for Kiev operations on Russian soil
Criticizing the US’s tension-causing approach to the war in Ukraine, the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Washington has given it full authority for Ukraine’s operations on Russian soil.
According to RCO News Agency, “Maria Zakharova”, the spokeswoman of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said about the US military support to Ukraine that the US has given full authority to Kiev for operations on Russian soil.
Zaharat Zakharova’s remarks come after Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh said on Thursday that the United States would allow Ukraine to launch a counterattack against Russia in the Kursk region using American weapons.
Ukraine launched a surprise attack against the Kursk region in recent weeks.
“John Kirby,” the strategic communications coordinator of the American National Security Council, also said last Monday that Washington and Kiev will continue their discussions about allowing the use of American weapons to attack Russian soil, but these discussions will be private.
Sputnik News agency reported that Zakharova said: We are reaching extremely serious results from all of this. Ukraine has full authority to operate on Russian soil. In addition, Joe Biden’s administration is clearly preparing to give Zelensky new privileges and free him to use virtually any American weapon, including deep into Russian territory.
He said that the practice of creating tension by the US has become more provocative.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said about Ukraine’s counter-attack in Kursk that Kiev has launched another large-scale provocative action against civilian targets and will receive an appropriate response in these border areas.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on August 29 that the Ukrainian military lost 7,450 troops and 74 tanks during the attack on Kursk.
