Sullivan: Gaza ceasefire talks are positive/Negotiations with China about Ukraine did not progress
The National Security Adviser of the White House positively evaluated the current developments in the Gaza ceasefire negotiations and said that these negotiations have reached detailed details.
According to Isna, American National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan claimed that the ceasefire negotiations in Gaza have reached detailed details, during his trip to China and meeting with President Xi Jinping and some other Chinese officials. It is a positive sign.
Previously, “Sami Abu Zahri”, one of the leaders of the Hamas movement, pointed out that Washington is not serious in requiring Tel Aviv to stop its attacks against the Gaza Strip, and stated that the US government is adopting the position of the Zionist regime in obstructing the ceasefire negotiations.
In another part of his speech, Sullivan said that US President Joe Biden expressed his willingness to consult with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the first opportunity.
This is the first visit of the American National Security Advisor to Beijing since 2016.
The National Security Adviser of the White House added: We believe that if Xi Jinping and Biden attend the G20 and APEC meetings this year, the two sides will meet.
He emphasized: America has no intention of starting a new cold war or entering into a conflict with China.
Also, this American official said: China and the United States did not make any progress in solving the Ukraine crisis in the Beijing talks, and no plan was determined.
Earlier, the President of China had assured Sullivan that his country adheres to the goal of sustainable and complete development of relations between the two countries, and this commitment has not changed.
According to the Chinese channel “CCTV”, Xi said: “We hope that the United States will cooperate with China to reach the middle of this road.”
