In this section, we share with you a series of general issues regarding prohibited drugs in Dubai:
1- It is forbidden to carry any sedative, nerve and codeine drugs to Dubai, it doesn’t matter if they are pills, capsules or ampoules, any form of these drugs are prohibited to enter, which we introduce to you in this article.
Two-maybe item number one may seem strange and ask if we should not carry our pills even if we are being treated? The answer to this question is yes, but only if you go through a series of steps. First, you must prepare a doctor’s prescription, then you must translate your prescription into Arabic, and this prescription must be approved by the Ministry of Health, the Judiciary, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the UAE Embassy in Tehran. Now, with these approvals, you don’t have any problems to take medicine and hand these documents to the customs and police officers. To confirm all these steps, ask the Ministry of Health
3-Another important point that you should keep in mind is that the number of your medicines must be exactly according to the prescription that has been approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Judiciary, the Ministry of Health and the UAE Embassy in Iran.
4- Of course, there is another way that you can safely use your medicines so that it does not have the ruling of prohibited medicines in Dubai. You can travel to Dubai without medicine and go to the doctor there to write a prescription for you and easily get your medicine from Dubai pharmacies. For this purpose, you can visit Iranian Red Crescent Hospital in Dubai to be treated by experienced Iranian doctors and get your medicines without any hassle.
5-Of course, if you buy tickets through the airline offices, they will tell you these points in full and also if a new law has been approved for transporting prohibited drugs to Dubai, they will warn you.
