According to this memorandum, tourist visas for traveling to Egypt will be for 7 days and the maximum stay time will be in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. It is possible that Cairo, the capital of Egypt, will also be added to this program, but it has not been decided yet. In this exchange, it is also decided that tourists from Egypt will travel to Iran and cities such as Mashhad, Shiraz, the north of the country, etc. for sightseeing and pilgrimage.
Dawai stated:
Of course, there has not yet been a request from Egypt for tourists from this country to travel to Iran, but there is a 99% probability that travel requests for tourist exchange between the two countries will be made from the beginning of October.
He continued:
The memorandum has been signed and the government has decided to help improve the relations between Iran and Egypt with the mediation of Iraq. This memorandum was made between the private sector of the two countries, which will probably take place in the public sector and at the macro level of the understanding system from the beginning of autumn.
The secretary of Khorasan Razavi Travel Services Association noted:
According to this memorandum, we will not have any direct flights from Iran to Egypt. Tourist exchange between the two countries will be limited at first and the amount of tourist exchange has not yet been determined and nothing has been mentioned in the memorandum.
Dawai said about the possible costs of traveling to Egypt for Iranian tourists:
We have to wait for the issuance of requests for the transfer of tourists from the beginning of Mehr so that we can receive the hotel fees, but the cost of flights will cost about 24 to 30 million tomans for the transfer of tourists. The cost of flights will be reduced.
