Nopak Qeshm Crocodile Park, the first and largest crocodile park in the Middle East and the only crocodile breeding and maintenance center in the Middle East and a source of zoological information about crocodiles in the country, is located in the north of Qeshm; A park that was launched in 1390 with 20 crocodiles and quickly became one of the sights of Qeshm.

The crocodiles bred in Nopek Crocodile Park are of the “Prosus” type (Crocodylus porosus; the best bred species in the world). In this park, you can see crocodiles from a close distance and get to know how they live, lay eggs, how to raise babies and how to feed them. In Qeshm Crocodile Park, other animals such as reptiles (mountain tortoise, iguana and Burmese python), birds (parrot, quail, peacock, Egyptian vulture, starling, mynah, partridge, horned hen, wetland eagle and gray-necked African ostrich), mammals (weasel, antelope, tali goat, monkey and hedgehog) and aquatic animals are also kept.

In the early 16th century, a sailor named “Alfonso de Albuquerque” ordered the construction of a fort in the northern part of Qeshm Island, which today is known as the Portuguese fort. A few columns, a reservoir and a watchtower are all that remain of the Portuguese fort today.

The historical Portuguese fort has an area of ​​more than 2,000 square meters and was built using local limestone, plaster and mortar.
